Science week at Kingsfield kicked off on Tuesday with a visit from the Cambridge science centre who explored forces through the ‘sailing science show’. Some children were even transported on a flying mat – all very exciting! During the rest of the week each class has different activities to explore forces around them. These involved launching rocket mice, making magnetic mazes, building structures from spaghetti and marshmallows, making a car move using the force of an elastic band and launching rockets outside. We had lots of fun! At the end of the week we had a special assembly to share our activities. We found out that we are all scientists!
