Children only get one chance at school, and your child's chances of a successful future may be affected by not attending school regularly.

If children do not attend regularly, they miss learning opportunities and valuable social experiences. Therefore, at Kingsfield Primary School, attendance is one of our top priorities.

Children are rewarded for good punctuality and attendance; these rewards are presented in our Friday achievement assembly.

Our School target for attendance is 97%.

With effect from September 2015, schools have been advised by the government's Department for Education (DfE) that the Persistent Absence (PA) threshold will be reduced to 10%.

This means that if a pupil has an overall attendance of 90% or less over a given period, they will be classed as persistently absent.
